Where should I stay?

We recommend guests stay at Shrine Mont. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the overnight rate. Pillows, Linens, and Bath Towels are provided. Most rooms do not have A/C but a box fan will be provided in each room.

Where are all wedding activities taking place?

Friday night’s Welcome Party will be at the brides family farm, a 20 min drive from Shrine Mont.

All events on Saturday will be onsite at Shrine Mont - all walkable if staying at Shrine Mont.

Are meals included in my stay at Shrine Mont?

Yes – breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided and are included in your sleeping room rate. Snacks and alcohol are not provided, we recommend you bring these items with you.

Can I eat a meal at Shrine Mont even if I am not staying there?

Yes you can. You must let Shrine Mont know what meals you would like to attend and pay for the meal. Breakfast – $14.00 Lunch – $17.00 Dinner – $19.00

Is the wedding outside?

The ceremony will be outside, the reception will be inside. Please note, Shrine Mont does not have central air.

Will there be transportation to the ceremony and reception?

Shrine Mont is completely walkable! We will be running golf carts to assist those who need help getting around the mountain. Please contact us if you would like assistance.

Is there a store nearby to buy snacks, drinks, and beer?

Yes – there is a small convenience store (Community Store) about 1 mile away from Shrine Mont where you can purchase snack items and beer. There is a Food Lion “in town” about a 30-minute drive away for a larger selection of items. The closest ABC store is also about a 20-minute drive.

What should I wear?

For the Welcome Party summer attire is appropriate. Shorts, tennis shoes, sun dresses, sandals are all acceptable.

For the Wedding cocktail attire is expected (women in cocktail dresses and men in suit jacket and tie). Please note, the outdoor shrine where the ceremony is taking place is full of small pebbles, high heels and uncomfortable shoes are not recommended.

What should I bring for the weekend?

-Box fans are available but depending on the weather, you may want to bring an extra fan (if you have one at home).
-Snacks / Booze
-Bathing suit & pool towels
